St. Francis (Ill.) nearly crushed the dreams of a back-to-back NAIA Softball World Series appearance for Southern Oregon University after winning Wednesday's early title game, 6-5.

However, the Raiders bounced back in a big way to earn their 8-3 win in game 2.

Rebecca Velasquez had three hits and Karlee Coughlin drove in three runs as the Raiders scored six runs in the first two innings.

Southern Oregon will be 6-seed in the 10-team NAIA Softball World Series bracket which begins it's play in Clermont, Florida on May 25.
