Following up on a state championship earlier this month from the Cascade Christian volleyball team, the Challengers football program is seeking it's first title in roughly four years on Saturday.

The Challengers won the most recent state championship (for our local southern Oregon high schools) in 2013.

Cascade knocked off #1 Scio on the road on Saturday, 49-28, behind a three touchdown passes from Haiden Schaan.

Ben Dunn, Ian Fralich and Kiegan Schaan all caught touchdown passes while John Fralich and Jacob Crowl each ran in a score.

Haiden Schaan also added two touchdown runs.

The Challengers held Scio to just 66 passing yards.

Joel McLemore and Mason Bailey joined News 10's Brian Schnee in our KTVL News 10 studio to look ahead at Saturday's 3A Championship meeting with Santiam Christian, a team the Challengers beat 47-0 earlier in the year.

#4 Cascade Christian takes on #2 Santiam Christian on Saturday, 4 p.m. at Cottage Grove High School.
