Already committed to play college golf at the University of Oregon, Klamath Union's Craig Ronne wants to end his senior year with a state championship.

The reigning 4A title winner blew away the rest of his competition at the recent district tourney at Running Y Ranch in Klamath Falls.

Ronne shot a 62 on day one and a 66 on day two, one of the best scores (if not the top) in the district and state record books.

"Everything was clicking the first day, making some long putts," Craig Ronne said. "It was the first time I had a huge gallery and I did feel all the support and it kind of riled me on to play my best."

Ronne, the 2017 Oregon Junior Golfer of the Year, plans to compete this summer to prepare for the college ranks. He'll participate in the US Amateur Qualifier at Eagle Point Golf Club.
