Connect With Carsyn Currier

Carsyn Currier is a Mid-Western girl from Peoria, Illinois, who started with KTVL in July of 2019. Even though she loves rooting for the Chicago Cubs, she decided that Illinois winters weren’t really her forte! Searching for sunshine and adventure, Carsyn was introduced to the University of Arizona through her love of dance.

After taking a leap of faith and traveling across the United States at 18 years old, Carsyn decided it was time to hang up her dance shoes and pursue her dream in journalism. At the University of Arizona, Carsyn double majored in Broadcast Journalism and Communication, with a minor in Film and Television.

Carsyn was the executive producer and anchor for the Marshall School of Journalism’s news program: Arizona Sonora News. Some of the news stations she interned at throughout her college career were KOLD in Tucson, Arizona, KVOA in Tucson, Arizona, and WMBD in Peoria, Illinois. Carsyn was awarded the Marshall School of Journalism’s Excellence in Broadcast Journalism award when she graduated in the spring of 2019.

When Carsyn isn’t reporting the news, you can find her enjoying a hot yoga class, watching her Arizona Wildcats BEAR DOWN, or exploring everything the Rogue Valley has to offer!

From the cornfields, to the deserts Carsyn is thrilled to call the Oregon mountains her new home!

Carsyn is always open to story ideas, or just a chat! Feel free to contact her at
